of IAALD, Mr. Jan van der Burg and the director of ISTIA, Mr. Michal
Demes, there was held the

Central and Eastern European Chapter

The Founding Meeting of the Central and
Eastern European IAALD Chapter was held on 29th November 1996 at ISTIA Nitra in Slovak
Republic, with the participation of representatives from:
Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, the Slovak Republic,
Ukraine, Croatia and France

The meeting was chaired by: Vjacheslav
Pozdnyakov, the Board Member of the IAALD Executive Committee 1995-2000, the Director of
the Central Scientific Agricultural Library in Moscow in Russia in order to
establish: IAALD Central and Eastern European Chapter with its headquarters in Nitra, the
Slovak Republic Mr. Michal Demes was elected as a President

Headquaters of IAALD CEE Chapter has
moved to GAK, Gödöllő, Hungary on 23th September 1999. |
